DRIVEWAY COATING

Driveway Coating

Give your driveway a clean, durable finish that handles daily traffic, rain, and Washington weather without the maintenance of bare concrete.

$500 off any floor coating. Military discount available.

A driveway is the first surface guests see and one of the hardest-working slabs on your property. Prestige Coatings repairs surface damage, diamond-grinds the concrete, and installs a textured polyaspartic system designed for traction and daily use. It is easy to clean, resistant to automotive fluids, and built to keep its color.

Freeze-thaw cycles and wet weather expose weak concrete quickly. Our systems are made to cure in cooler conditions and resist moisture-related peeling. We also account for hot tires, road salt, moss, and the heavy turning that happens at the end of a driveway, so your finish is practical as well as polished.

How much does driveway coating cost in King and Pierce County?

Driveways need a site-specific estimate because slope, access, turning traffic, slab condition, and outdoor exposure all affect preparation and system selection. We measure the full area and explain any repair or coating-removal cost before you schedule.

Project sizeTypical range
Small$2,500 to $4,000
Medium$4,000 to $7,000
Large$7,000 to $25,000

What shapes your estimate

  • Square footage, slope, and vehicle access
  • Pitting, cracks, and surface wear
  • Drainage and standing-water patterns
  • Traction level and edge detailing

How we prepare and install the coating

Every durable coating starts with a clear plan for the slab, the space, and the way you will use it.

01

Traffic assessment

We review slope, turning zones, drainage, sun exposure, and the vehicles that use the driveway.

02

Surface preparation

The slab is mechanically ground so the coating bonds to sound concrete rather than surface residue.

03

Concrete repair

Appropriate cracks, pitting, and worn areas are addressed before the coating system is installed.

04

Textured protection

A UV-stable system with outdoor traction is applied, then cure timing is confirmed for your site.

How to prepare

Plan for another parking location while the surface is being prepared and cured. Move vehicles, trailers, bins, and portable equipment. We will confirm access and return-to-service timing before work starts.

Simple ongoing care

Rinse off road grit and deicing residue, especially after winter weather or mountain trips. Use a soft broom and mild cleaner for heavier soil. Avoid metal snow tools that can gouge finished surfaces.

Driveway Coating questions

Is a coated driveway slippery in the rain?

Outdoor systems are installed with texture selected for wet vehicle and foot traffic. Drainage, slope, and cleaning still matter, so we evaluate those conditions on site.

How long before I can drive on it?

Return-to-service timing depends on the system, temperature, and weather. Your project plan will give a specific time for foot traffic and vehicles.

Can badly pitted concrete be coated?

Many worn slabs can be repaired and coated, but an inspection is needed to distinguish repairable surface damage from deeper structural problems.

Does coating replace drainage repairs?

No. Coating protects and improves the concrete surface, but it does not correct improper slope, active settlement, or drainage defects.

How long does a floor coating install take?

Most residential floors are installed in one day and are ready for normal foot traffic the next day.

What is the difference between polyaspartic and epoxy?

Polyaspartic installs in one day, stays UV stable, resists abrasion, and cures in cold Pacific Northwest weather. Epoxy typically needs 3 to 5 days, can yellow in sun, and may peel under hot tires.

What does a typical garage floor cost?

Most garages cost $2,500 to $4,000 depending on size and slab condition. Estimates are free, and the current offer takes $500 off any floor coating.

Do you install floors in winter?

Yes. Polyaspartic cures in cold conditions, so we can install year-round in the Pacific Northwest.

Why do your floors not peel?

We diamond-grind every slab to remove weak concrete and create the profile the coating needs. Prep is the foundation of a floor that lasts.
